WuCai Assistant is not available in the overseas version of WuCai Highlight yet. This page describes what it does so you know what to expect once it ships.

WuCai Assistant is a messaging bot that helps you collect things without leaving the chat app:

  • Send it text and it is stored in WuCai Daily.
  • Send it images and they are stored in WuCai Daily.
  • Forward a WeChat official account article and the article body is extracted and filed into your inbox.
  • Forward a chat history and it is recorded in WuCai Daily.

In short, the assistant tidies up information for you while you keep chatting.

The assistant is planned as a PRO feature. It runs on WeCom, which is a paid service, so it cannot be offered for free.

What it will handle ​

Anything you send can be text, an image, a WeChat article, or a forwarded chat history.

Text, images and chat histories are saved to WuCai Daily. WeChat official account articles are clipped into your WuCai account.

Daily ​

Text and images (up to 5 MB) sent to the assistant are saved to WuCai Daily, and can later be synced to Obsidian, Logseq or SiYuan.

Full-text clipping ​

WeChat official account articles are clipped and the article body is extracted.

Adding the assistant ​

Once available, the settings page will show the steps to connect it.

The bot never replies. Expect a delay of 1 to 5 minutes; if nothing arrives, check that your token is correct or contact us.

Media files

Voice messages and video files are not supported.

Rate limit

Frequent clipping through the assistant can trigger throttling: at most 200 articles per day and 600 per month. Higher quotas will not be available.
